About Us and Our Larger Projects
Although our current focus is now on small business needs, our core software includes best practices at all levels of the full-life cycle development process. Our development team has designed and implemented very sophisticated systems for large organizations including all of the following:
Net-Teams Community Management Software - providing continued design and upgrades for this powerful platform that is used to host social networking, event management and RSVP, relationship management, scheduling systems, blogging systems, content management, search engine optimization, security, work flow and integration with 3rd party API's. This technology is used with Web Sites, Extranets, Intranets and is used as a connector between these types of systems. Our current system is used by over 30,000 social media specialists, sales personell, small business owners and researchers.
ATT - built mobile phone applications for new line of telephones from ATT.
Northrop Grumman - Provided video production support for internal promotional DVD's.
US State Department - Designed, documented and built several Intranet and Extranet applications involving the nomination work flow process for educational programs like Fulbright Programs, Open Funding Opportunities, and Consular Affairs, which connected embassies throughout the world. Also worked to upgrade the insurance program for educational participants.
Lockheed Martin - Built their PropNet file management system. Completed the technical design, coded and installed the application. The application involved some unique algorithms that actually indexed their Proposals and provided automated category assignments that made it very easy to search and find based on their proprietary processes. We added an evaluation system that was to be used in the next phase as metrics to measure the success and failure of their internal proposal development.
Seabees - Modified some of the core technology underneath the WebWorldTech content management system for the Seabees reporting systems which is accessible to all their engineering bases around the world. Worked on a Continuity of Operations plan for their technologies to enable fail over in cases where services become unavailable at one or more bases.
AITNS, Inc. -
Designed and built new product lines and increased efficiency systems including content management systems, file sharing, work flow management and collaborative systems, scheduling systems, web portals and web security systems. Duties included managing other developers, building requirements, design, user and developer documentation and using web technologies to build sophisticated multi-tiered architectures.
- DLJ (acquired by TD Waterhouse) - Built web application using MS Excel spreadsheets as the client instead of a web browser. This client-side application connected to the Internet to refresh and submit data - we pushed MS Excel beyond what it was designed to do in this case. There was a sophisticated work flow process that handled multiple user updates with over 300 items of data per spreadsheet with different work flow rules for each of the 300 items of data.
- DataTel - Worked with WebWorldTech on their core content management system technology that DataTel used to manage various data across their organization.
- Fedex - Built custom search interface used to manage web based tracking and other internal search functionality for internal and web access to information.
- HR.com - Designed and built custom content scheduling and preview system for the web site so content creators could select any date in the future or past to see what the web site looked like or will look like on that date.
- Navy Federal Credit Union - Designed and built the core transactional processing used by their internal systems. The process involved fundamental change processing that provided an audit trail per transaction.
- FAA - Created custom functionality for the WebWorldTech content management system, which the FAA used to publish publicly available information on the Web.
- ComDisco - Created requirements and design for the ComDisco content management system, which they used to store data on inventory and web site information. Trained the development team on how to approach the implementation of the design. Set up testing processes for the development and QA teams for full life cycle development.
MCI Government Markets (1998) - Managed an internal triage system (Internal Web applications using ColdFusion and SQL Server based) for prioritizing computer installations, repair and upgrades to the network and workstations. Also built browser-based front end clients for the PowerBuilder teams to web-enable their client-server applications.
Bell Atlantic - Managed internal and external web systems for easy access to information. Designed and built distance calculator for the billing department so they could determine the strength of signal based on distance from their Internet hubs. Also worked with Bell Atlantic Creative Services department on a Prototype for the NFL, which indexed closed captioning data and was used to find video clips.
Digitel - Helped get the March Madness promotion in place for their Spring 2009 marketing program and other projects.
